Mr. Liam Lynch highlighted the importance of audit committee review of strategic policy in relation to tax matters and the evolving nature of financial reporting obligations.
His presentation included the role of the board and audit committee in relation to tax risk management and areas the audit committee should examine.
- Directors’ Responsibilities
Mr. Paul Gardiner provided an update on recent case law developments with regard to directors’ responsibilities and, in particular, the implications of the recent Supreme Court judgement in the Tralee Beef & Lamb case.
